Prepare Beat Saber

Do these in order. The last launch is important: the custom-song folders do not exist until the modded game has completed first-run setup.

  1. Install Beat Saber on the Quest.
  2. Enable Developer Mode and USB debugging. Connect with a USB data cable. In the headset, approve the computer and choose Always allow from this computer.
  3. Patch/mod Beat Saber with MBF. Follow MBF through its normal install. When it finishes, close the MBF tab so it releases USB.
  4. Start the modded Beat Saber once. Put on the headset, accept every first-run/mod prompt, continue until you reach the normal Beat Saber menu, then fully exit Beat Saber.
  5. Come back here in Chrome, Brave or Edge on the computer connected to the Quest.
Useful mods to look for in MBF

Only install a mod when MBF shows it as compatible with your Beat Saber version.

SongDownloaderCore custom-song downloading. MBF normally installs the required core set.
BetterSongSearchQuestSearch and download custom songs directly from the headset.
BetterSongListBetter sorting/filtering for larger custom libraries.
BeatLeaderCustom-song leaderboards and statistics.
Beat Together + MultiplayerCoreOnly if you want modded multiplayer.
Chroma / Noodle ExtensionsInstall only when maps require them and MBF lists a compatible build.

Connect your Quest

WebUSB talks directly from this browser to the headset. Homebase never gets access to your USB device.

Not connected
Connect only one Quest. Close MBF, SideQuest, Meta Quest Developer Hub, native ADB, and other WebUSB tabs first.

Choose what to add

Questbase only adds missing content. It never deletes songs already on your Quest.
